After more than four decades in business, Windsor Architectural Hardware has reached a significant milestone with the opening of its first Australian showroom in Prahran, Melbourne. This highly anticipated space marks a new chapter for the respected New Zealand brand, long admired for its premium door and window hardware across the residential design and construction industry.

More than a place to display product, the showroom is a physical representation of Windsor’s journey from crafting the very first handle in a backyard shed to becoming a trusted name in architectural hardware throughout Australasia. It’s a reflection of Windsor’s hands-on, quietly confident approach, and a celebration of the brand’s deep roots in craftsmanship, authenticity, and innovation.

Designed in partnership with Louise Walsh Interior Design and project management and fitout completed by Arquette Interiors, the showroom has been thoughtfully created to feel grounded and timeless. Every detail from natural textures and tactile finishes to the generous layout invites visitors to interact with the products and see how they work within broader interior schemes. Wall displays present our core ranges, while nearby drawers house coordinating accessories, making it easy to curate hardware selections from front door to back.

A large central table anchors the space, serving as a collaborative hub where designers, specifiers, and clients can mix and match finishes, explore hardware combinations, and bring their ideas to life. This interactive area also invites designers to bring in material samples, creating hands-on palettes that help visualise how Windsor hardware integrates into their project design.

A dedicated custom hardware zone showcases Windsor’s bespoke capabilities, particularly with front door handles, and encourages creativity, exploration, and partnership.

The showroom will also operate as a multi-functional space for the design and building community hosting product presentations, launch events, scheduling services, and hands-on training sessions for studios and industry professionals.
